The science behind

Electroencephalography (EEG) is a technology developed to sense mental states. It works by detecting the naturally-occurring changes in electrical activity on your scalp. We have combined EEG with our app. When wearing our EEG headpiece, you can record what is going on inside your brain. Through our app, you can use this information as a guide to gain control of your own mental states related to sleep.

Our algorithm has been trained to recognize brain states produced by healthy sleepers. Whenever the headpiece detects that you are producing brain activity similar to that of healthy sleepers, it lets you know through pleasant audio sounds. With practice, you will learn how to produce these states automatically without thinking about it.

The core principle behind our product is called Neurofeedback or EEG Biofeedback. In several independent studies, researchers have been experimenting with Neurofeedback and have shown that it can improve sleep. People involved in these studies reported that it took them shorter to fall asleep and that their sleep quality increased.

Yes, after the 3 month period you will be able to keep and use both headband and app if you’d like.
No! Your bedroom and sleep environmet should be free of disturbing elements and gadgets. Sleep hygiene is important, and the brain training with Drowzee should be done during the day.

We recommend doing the trainings in the evening. To make it easier, you should try to do it after or before a habit you already have, such as brushing your teeth.

The results gained from the program period will be lasting, and benefit you for the rest of your life. However, if you ever see your sleep start degrading again, you can always do some more sessions to keep it warm.
